Candy Rain!
EVERYDAY I’M RUFFALIN’

Reblogging my post cuz I’m awesome like that

Here is a segment called “From a Lack of a Better Name, Modern Boy Bands.”

Everyone under the age of 20 is going bonkers over One Direction.  I don’t know anything about them, I don’t need to know anything about them, and I am too old to care about them.  Amidst all of the hype, it is actually The Wanted that I hear more often on the radio.  Their song pleases me more, too.  I guess I am reminded of the “rivalry” between Take That and E-17 in the 90s:  OD are incomparably clean, cut, and corny to TW’s more “rugged and sexy” approach.

IMHO.

Candy Rain:  Wayback Playback Edition.

It will always, always astound me how high Ralph Tresvant’s voice used to be.  When I was his age, he made me sound like Barry White.

Roll to Me | Del Amitri

1995

They are boys in a band from the 90’s. Close enough.

Love this song!
Especially when I hear it at work!! -Jen

My boyfriend is having a Doctor Who-athon, and I have been educating him on Billie Piper’s former career.

I like her better as a redhead.

Call It What You Want by the New Kids on the Block circa 1992.

Jordan’s dancing kills me everytime lol

East 17 is the boy band of the day. As a recovering Take Thaddict, I assure you that loving the boys from Walthamstow is no conflict of interest. IMHO.

Highlights include the boys not trying hard to look busy during the dance number, and Tony’s overall seriousness…

Happy New Year from Westlife.

My calendar boy of 1992.  I think it was from 1992 anyway.  It was Joey Lawrence and not Eddie Vedder that made me want to wear plaid.

Jen and I agreed the other day that a double date with Joey and Matthew Lawrence would have rocked our world!
